It's a special place we occupy in today's Mad Hatter world of Tea enthusiasts. How easy it is to be reactive and negative, but reminder to self: Negativity comes across to others. The very negativity we find abhorrent has a way of rubbing off on us. Group members will find no hard sell from this group leader, but we may want to focus on some positive aspect of the Progressive ideal in our next article. You know, something that would make people see things our way, and like what they see. - G

Gregory Lewis Downfall of America - A Recurring Theme
by Gregory Lewis

Religious people who say America was “founded on Christian values” suffer from selective dementia. Since before the Revolutionary War the new White Americans sucked. As David Bushnell wrote in The Treatment of Indians in Plymouth Colony, “They would attempt to behave with Christian charity toward the Indian, and they intended to... Robert Bridge The Measurement Information Test - Introvert or Extrovert - Belly Button
by Robert Bridge

This week's writing assignment: Innie or outie? Are you an introvert or an extrovert? What do you like about your personality type? What qualities do you admire in the other personality type? Time is a very strange thing, but the time you spent outside the base and the time it takes to get things done are extremely normal.... (posted by Robert 3 days 22 hours ago.)
Joel Hirschhorn Romney, Severely Awful
by Joel Hirschhorn

There are many, many reasons to have low regard for Mitt Romney. All but the totally delusional correctly see him as disingenuous, dishonest, devious and devoid of an authentic set of core beliefs. He is a shill for corporate and rich elites. He is the phony smiling, perfect hair poster jerk for the proverbial one percent. But I now clearly see that there is another, more important... David Tanguay We are in the Process of Becoming Civilized
by David Tanguay

“ There is as yet no civilized society, but only a society in the process of becoming civilized. There is yet no civilized nation, but only nations in the process of becoming civilized. From this standpoint, we can now speak of a collective task of humankind. The task of humanity is to build a genuine civilization.” Felix Adler We as American... When Reagan and Greenspan stole the Social Security Trust Funds in the 80s and then gave the money to their wealthy friends, that began the demise of the middle class. But if you were one of the wealthy, it began an unprecedented shift of wealth from the workers to the manipulators; a period of wealthy welfare lasting to this day.... Michael Eza What is Truth?
by Michael Eza

What is truth? Truth is undefined. How can truth be defined? Truth can be defined by what is true and what is not true. Must a truth always remain true to be a truth? A truth must remain true within the context of what is true. What is context? Context is the physical and psychological environment in which the truth was born. What is environment? ... Nestor Fantini DEMOCRATS ARE ALSO DEBATING: Berman and Sherman in California
by Nestor Fantini

Although most of the attention had been focused on the Republican presidential candidates in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, Democrats all over the country are also politically quite active. Take California, where the first debate between U.S. Representatives Howard Berman and Brad Sherman, two giants of local... (posted by Nestor 39 days 23 hours ago.)
Waiting Arms (Catching the Falling Santorum)
by Walter Rhett
1

Rick, we hardy knew ye when a campaign built on the pillar of blame and fear toppled you from on high into our laps. With a thud you fell into waiting arms at Iowa; but it is easy to miss the bullet points of your near miss. Bullet one: the first test firings of the Super PACs produced spectacular results. Rick, you're so vain you think it's about you, but it's not. The Romney Super PACs easily... (posted by Walter 40 days 12 hours ago.)
