Hey, Golden Oldies,
I have a new challenge for you. It is to write a “how to" article. You may be sighing and wondering why should I do this? Actually, Bruce could explain this better than I could. This is what he said:
“ Evergreens attract readers continually, year-round. Factual, statistical and how-to articles are usually evergreen. Have you seen the all-time most popular article on SearchWarp? "How to Know if You're Pregnant" has been the most popular article for over a year. In fact, the most common phrase in the 100 most popular articles on SearchWarp is "How To." How-to articles are usually evergreen, they attract readers year-round."
This information from http://bruce.searchwarp.com/swa555726-How-To-Write-For-The-Internet-And-Gain-A-Following-Write-About-What-People-Want.htm
I have given you a few examples that may get you to thinking. Who knows? This “how to" thing may be your claim to fame – you may hit on one article, such as the one that rolls around and around Searchwarp “How to tell if you are pregnant."
Anyway, here are some sample titles but you could write about anything you desire. Please make the first words “How to." Then make your topic as many words as you could cram in: Here is why. These are Bruce’s words quoted from the same article: “ I challenge you to use at least a dozen words in the titles of your articles to describe the wealth of information found within."
Here are the samples:
How to housebreak your dog
How to kick a bad habit
How to overcome insomnia
How to stay sober on a Saturday night
How to enjoy the weekend for under $20
How to make the perfect brownies
How to keep peace with a spouse
How to bathe a cat
How to complain effectively
How to survive a recession
How to develop self-confidence
How to use Twitter
How to build a great music collection--cheaply and legally
How to end a relationship
How to select the best portable media player
How to take decent photographs with your cell phone
How to quit smoking
How to make the perfect cup of tea
How to save money while saving the environment
How to edit a video
How to make (and keep) friends on Facebook
How to insert a contact lens
How parents (or children) make us feel guilty
How an iPod works
How a cell phone takes pictures

My Art Sings My Songs© by Arlene Wright-Correll
Just about any song does something for me and my choices are just about anything providing I am in the mood for it. My choices vacillate between classical to new age music. Acid rock, most jazz, rap are not my cup of tea. In my studios I choose a mood I want to paint in and let it rip. Recently I created this piece of art to some “Golden Oldies” music using some of... Save Your Marriage: How To Keep Excessive Thinking To a Minimum! by Bob Alexander
Excessive thinking has caused many marriages to fail or at the very least bring ripples of frustration on the otherwise placid seas of love. Simple thoughts can become grounds for a full fledge battle of words. Sometimes something more violent takes place. It is my belief that excessive thinking has been the downfall of mankind since human... (posted by Bob Alexander 2 days 11 hours ago.)
Old time Rock and Roll by David Tanguay
When it comes to inspirational songs there are so many songs that gave me inspiration in the past. To narrow it down a little I’ll go back to the 60’s when the world was in a revolutionary state of being. When I got out of the service in ‘69, I went to work however; the times in those days were very turbulent in nature. I would drive my truck and sing along with... Seeking Information About Saddlebred and Need Your Help by The Old Gray Mare

We know next to nothing about our horse. Sadly, we know very little about his background and breeding, and would appreciate any help readers can offer. A private party rescued him out of a paddock where several Percherons were ganging up on him, and had him down and nearly out. She sold him to us and he’s been with us ever... Manslaughter Conviction: William Bell, a Fool in the Rain by Jack H. Schick
On Monday, April 19, 2010, it was an overcast dreary day. By 5:15p.m., when William Bell (56), of Doylestown left the lengthy luncheon at the Century House in Hatfield that followed the funeral of his friend, it was drizzling slightly. He’d driven about six miles and was headed south on the two lane Limekiln Pike in New Britain Township in... (posted by Jack H. Schick 5 days 10 hours ago.)
Comforting Quotes For People Who Have Lost Their Beloved Pets & Are Sad & Grieving by Fran Larson
Owning and loving a pet is a bittersweet experience because most of us outlive our pets and it is oh, so sad and empty when they die. They are a part of our family and love us unconditionally. They don’t care what we look like or how much we weigh, they just love us. Hopefully, these quotes will be a comfort to all... (posted by Fran Larson 7 days 23 hours ago.)
Why Did I End Up In The Hospital On Valentine's Day ? by Hilda Cang
3 years ago, I spent my valentine's day in the hospital, while others spent theirs either in the candle lit restaurants, wined and dined, or any special romantic way they wanted it, with their loved ones, perhaps being pampered with roses and heart-shaped box of chocolates but I was in the hospital that's all I knew. Worst of all, I couldn't do... (posted by Hilda 8 days 10 hours ago.)
How Serious is Neck and Back Pain? by Dr. Michael L. Hall
According to the CDC back or spine problems are the second most common reason for disability in America affecting 7.6 million people. Modern medical science finally has an answer to help alleviate the suffering. Almost as common as the common cold, back pain and neck pain is thankfully not at all serious. I draw this conclusion not from 30 years of experience working... (posted by Dr. Michael L. 11 days 4 hours ago.)
