Mark Gittelman, ASE Certified Master Technician

Mark Gittelman is an ASE certified master technician in both automotive repair and medium/heavy truck repair. Mark is currently working for an award-winning local government fleet. He is now working on ambulances and buses that service his local County as well as operating his web site, http://www.youfixcars.com where he offers expert automotive repair advice.

Mark started his career in the automotive industry at the age of 16 as what he describes as a petroleum transfer engineer. Although most people just called him a gas pumper. Mark's love for all things automotive fueled his drive and determination to receive the best training available to pursue a long career in the auto repair industry. When he graduated high school, he was accepted into a General Motors sponsored program at a local community college.

The automotive service educational program, better-known A.S.E.P. was a test program offered by GM for the first time in 1984. Mark also enrolled in standard college courses and made the Dean's list several semesters. He graduated both the General Motors program and the community college with an Associates degree in 1987. Mark continued his automotive education and to this day still attends updating automotive technology classes.

Mr. Gittleman also achieved certification to perform emission system testing in his home state. He is now currently ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified in a total of 15 areas. Mark described the ASE certifications, and the continuing re-certification process as extremely challenging. He stated that the re-certification tests get harder every year as technology continues to advance in the automotive industry.

Mark spent most of his career working at General Motor’s dealerships as an A rate line technician. His dedication to fixing the vehicle right the first time was recognized in 1994 with an award from Pontiac motor division for outstanding achievement in customer satisfaction.

Although Marks auto repair career has spanned more than 23 years, his desire to help people with their automotive problems is just as strong as it was on the first day he started pumping fuel at a local gas station. His latest venture is the creation of a website where people that are interested in performing their own auto repairs can go for auto repair advice

Al Case

Al Case, Monster Martial Arts

Al Case has been studying the martial arts for over forty years.

He began his studies at a Chinese Kenpo school in 1967 in Los Altos, California. While there he entered tournaments, became an instructor, and wrote the instruction manual for the school.

In 1969, during a friendly discussion with a Hells Angel, the Hells Angel proved his point by throwing Al through a wall. Twice. Shortly afterward the Hells Angel took Al down to the karate school he studied at and which he recommended. This was the San Jose branch of the Kang Duk Won.

After immersing himself in the Kang Duk Won for some seven years, Al dabbled in Wing Chun Kung Fu and Aikido, then settled into serious studies of Tai Chi Chuan and Pa kua Chang, and began the process of developing his own, personal martial art.

In 1982 Al published his first article in Inside Karate, one of the more popular martial arts magazines of the day. Al became a regular contributer, and eventually was given his own column, ‘Case Histories.’

During this time he studied many more arts.

As the digital age dawned Al found new outlets for his martial arts obsession, and developed a series of videos outlining his ‘Matrixing’ method. He chose the name Matrix long before the movie came out.

Matrixing is the analysis and handling of force and direction, a down to earth analysis of the actual physics involved in the martial arts.

In addition to the martial arts Al has had a life long love of writing. He is a published poet, has been a finalist in the Writer’s of the Future Contest, and has written and self-published a score of novels and scores of martial arts training manuals.

He currently lives and trains in Los Angeles, and his website is MonsterMartialArts.com

Daniel Osko, Bubba's Bazaar

Did you know that SearchWarp has been known as the place to go for swimming pool advice for over 2 years?  This is because Daniel Osko of Bubbas Pools has chosen to present some his vast experience in pool installation through the pages of SearchWarp.  Dan has worked tirelessly at answering questions about pool installation and repair, answering more questions than anyone else in the history of SearchWarp!

Dan was raised in a family who has had a long history in the Swimming Pool Industry. His grandfather was Chief Engineer for Muskin Pools for years, eventually becoming the Chief Operations Manager.

Subsequently, Muskin employed Dan's grandmother, mother, uncles, and father for many years to follow. In fact, his father was one of the first on ground pool installers who traveled throughout the U.S.A. installing pools for Muskin Pool customers. As young as 12 years old, Dan and his cousin would help their fathers install pools locally in Northeast Pennsylvania!

At the age of sixteen Dan decided to install pools during his schools summer vacation. He ran his own installation crew for Olympic Pools. People were quite surprised by the quality of work a bunch of kids did! Since then he has installed pools for Prestige Pools, Northeast Pools, Quality Pools, Poseidon Pools, and naturally for himself.

Over the years Dan has learned how to Install and repair swimming pools the correct way, the best way, and the most cost effective way. None of which degrades from the other. However, over the years he has also witnessed shrewd salesmen giving false information to customers in order to profit. Additionally, he has seen incompetent installers perform shoddy work and take advantage of their customers for the same purpose.

It is for this reason that he writes these articles so that people can perform these tasks for themselves, or at least have the proper information to know if their pool related project is being done correctly.

Dan takes pride his over-thirty-years of experience and answering more questions regarding swimming pools than any other author on SearchWarp.  Additionally, a variety of pictures to assist you in your installations are available at http://www.bubbaspools.com.

Jonathan Ya'akobi

Jonathan Ya’akobi has been a professional gardener for almost 25 years.

Designing, building and developing private gardens in Israel, has given him particular expertise about gardening in arid climates. As such, his knowledge and experience is relevant to home gardeners in areas like Southern California, South-West Australia, as well as the Mediterranean countries and the Middle East.

While “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, Jonathan passionately believes in the power of correct design to affect peoples’ mood for the better. On the other hand, he has seen too many cases where a poorly designed garden is not only dysfunctional but actually lowers the feeling of well-being amongst the family members. This he calls “a criminal waste of potential”.

Jonathan Ya’akobi is acutely aware that he creates his gardens for the customer and not for himself. His gardens are therefore a synthesis between the needs, taste, and feelings of the customer, and the universal principles of design. Some of his gardens can be seen at http://www.dryclimategardening.com/gallery.php

For over ten years, he has been teaching horticulture, both to unemployed adults on government training schemes, and to children at schools. Jonathan tries to impart his love and passion for gardening to his students, but as he freely admits, does not succeed all the time! Many of his articles explore the potential in gardening for education in the wider sense of the term, and for personal growth and development.

Nonetheless, his expertise as both a gardener and teacher, gave him the idea of communicating his skills and insights to the world via his website – www.dryclimategardening.com  As an avid reader, he enjoys writing and invites visitors to read and download his articles.
