Would you ever put your money into an offshore investment?

I must point out I didn't lose the money because of Scam or dishonesty but rather by legal action on the part of the US IRS

Wow!!! Not being from the U.S Terry I had only heard of rumours from American friends and colleagues about the IRS's dislike of U.S citizens investing offshore.

I think that they assume everyone investing offshore is trying to hide from them!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortrune.

If it makes you feel better, I lost a whole bunch of money from overseas property investment. We live and learn don't we?

Yes If I had some Michael. To be honest and joking aside and looking at what Terry says, then wisdom prevails. I will learn from his costly mistake and say no to offshore investment

It all sounds great and maybe it is with the right investments, but like terry, I got burnt.

i would never even put it into an onshore investment

absolutely! off shore investing is high risk but it does offer huge returns. much better than any u.s returns.
