When and why did you start writing?

I started writing articles when I joined Search Warp. (Though I did start earlier for the BHS Observer website).
My motivation for writing has not changed. I only write for one reason: fun.
As you tell me often,
I started writing in elementary school --- starting with poems. I always seemed to have the knack and as a kid in grammar school and high school won several essay contests. I guess my impetus for writing has always been: desire.

I have always liked to write, but never thought I was any good at it. I do enjoy reading which got me thinking about writing more. Sometimes, I write for business; sometimes for pleasure.
In one way, I've been writing all my life. Well at least since I first learned to form letters with a crayon. "Professionally," it began when I quit my day job and needed to cheaply promote my website. SearchWarp to the rescue!
