I am not sure what you mean exactly by this question but I would say mental abuse may be worse, however I have never been physically abused and I know people who have and it has also affected their whole lives. My answer would be I don't really know.
If I'm reading this right, I guess I'd rather he had a purely physical fling with another woman (well protected of course) than that he fall in love with someone else. I could get over the former, but the latter seems like a deal breaker. Of course, I would prefer he do neither.

There's no just about it, but if I had to choose, obviously mentally. Really though, isn't everyone guilty of that at some point.
