Isn't it time for a new SW contest?

YES! That's why I'm working on a Sunday (though it's not really work).

We need to announce the winner of the last contest and present the new contest. I'd like to have a contest using the new question / answer feature, even though it's not really a writing contest. For some reason we've never been able to get a lot of participation in the writing contests and this will mix it up a bit.

In order to do this, there needs to be a way to assign points for answers. I think I have that finished now. What's left is the normal SearchWarp dressings, like a Q/A Hall of Fame and a Q/A page in the Control Panel. I'm frantically working to get these finished so that we can announce the contest tomorrow (Monday).

Any suggestions for the prize?

I did a double take on the statement that "there are no points assigned to this question." I did not expect points anyway. Then I wondered if I did something wrong. I felt like I had accidentally submitted the question to Active Rain or ...

SearchWarp Gear is good, maybe personalized with our SearchWarp Blog address. Of course a good amount of time on the front page is always motivating. Are the Q & A's Twittered? Do the Q & A's get an separate Google Juice? I have always been impressed with how quickly articles make it to Google. If the Q & A's make it as well, I believe more Author's will be hypnotized and overcome with addiction to writing for SearchWarp.

Hi Suzy, yes, this question was asked before you were able to give points for answering questions... you didn't do anything wrong! I hope the points thing doesn't scare people away from asking and answering questions just for fun.

As for bringing in people from search engines, our experience is that question / answer type pages attract a lot of people searching for things.
