Actually, sorry Steven, but I think your wife wins this one. Brown is not something that black goes well with.
P.S. you better give in on this one or you may be wearing Black-and-Blue!

If I say you win yet your black may still go with brown then your dear wife could be right. brown + black = dull so try matching with other color to make you look more outstanding!
