Would you ever tell one of your children he or she is your favorite? Even if it's true?

It would be hard for me; as I have no favorites. All my children are as important as the next. And if it were true for anyone, I think it would be the worst thing you could do.

I tell all my children that they are my favorite. Each one is different, and they are each my favorite in their own way. They all know I do it, and if one over hears, they chuckle at it.

Having a favored sibling can, however, be very damaging to a person's self-esteem. I talk about that with my kids too.
