One way that works with pretty much any carrier is to email them to yourself in a text message. If it's a lot of pictures, that's slow, though.

Otherwise you'll either need a USB cord or a memory card to transfer them over. They sell USB memory card readers pretty cheaply now, like around $20.

Thanks, Anthony. I'll have to pursue that.

Pictures taken on a digital camera or camera phone can be copied from the camera or phone in two ways, namely either by sending yourself an e-mail with the pictures attached from the messaging features on your phone, or by copying the pictures directly from the camera to the computer using a USB cable.

The steps involved in the process of sending yourself an e-mail with the pictures as attachments are firstly the picture is taken, the option to send the picture as a message is selected, your e-mail address is typed in the field marked To (the recipients), the message is sent, your phone is connected to your computer using a USB cable, the specific software program is used, the pictures are copied from your camera to your computer and then the pictures are deleted from your camera to make space for more and also to avoid unnecessary clutter.

If your phone and computer both have BlueTooth, you can pair them up and transfer data across wirelessly.

If your phone has removable storage (memory stick, SD card, MicroSD card etc) you can just take that out of the phone and plug it into your PC (via an external card reader if your PC doesn't have one built in)

If your phone has Internet capability you can email the photos to yourself.

For most phones, the simplest and best option is to use a cable to connect the phone to your computer by USB, then just copy any photos across (either manually, or using software provided with your phone, or using free software like Google's Picasa).

If you have a bluetooth dongle and a bluetooth enabled phone then you can send them via the dongle to the computer.

I send the picture to my email adress with my phone and retrieve it by opening my e-mail on the computer.

There are several ways to do this and it also depends on your hardware and accessories.

1) By USB wire connection from your phone to your computer.

2) Bluetooth connection could also be used if you have this feature in both your phone and your computer.

3) wifi or wireless connection when you have a wireless lan setup in your home or the area you are in have this service.

4) insert the memory card from your phone to a card reader either built-in or connected by a USB card reader to your computer.

5) send the pictures by email and retrieve them from your computer.

I know this is a cop out - but, oh well! I give my phone to my daughter-in-law and she does it for me. I ask and I receive. She enjoys anything and everything technical or electronic and I like to delegate. It's just like magic. I'm lucky!
