It just depends on what those benefits are. It would have to be determined on a case-by-case basis. Some employers flaunt so called "benefits" that aren't really benefits at all, or not much. So, it really depends on the value of those benefits.
Well, sometimes, after prayer, I ended up working for ministries with low pay and some benefits rather than in my profession of nursing - my hubby always reminded me that sometimes the eternal benefits out weighed the immediate financial ones and I totally agree.
of course i would take a job with higher pay and with good benefits but it is okey to have a lower pay but with good benefits.

Well, at my age that is easy to answer. After 50+ benefits are always first priority, and when u are younger the pay seems to be more important for a portfolio.
Yes! Especially if my spouse received full benefits from her employer. Higher pay would = more disposable income to invest to become self-insured.
Depends on the benefits and what is important too you... In most cases, benefits can be taken away at a later date... I am a big believer in a "bird in the hand"... more money always works, it usually is the BEST benefit. Particularly given that anyone can get a 401 K or the similar and health insurance..., but, health insurance is only easy if you are healthy, if this is an issue you might want the benefits...
I`d actually prefer a job that I was happier in - extra money is no use if your are unhappy all the time.
When I was single it was a no brainer. But now with a family the benefits matter much more.
With any type of job the most important aspect is finding a balance.
This is true for the question being asked. Each individual person has their own set of circumstances and what is right for one person may not be right for another. A balance between the two is the most preferable however take a look at your own personal and family situation when making this decision
