Is it possible to be allergic to water?

Most true allergies are to proteins, so strictly speaking, no one can be allergic to water. There are food intolerances, but again, they are mostly triggered by some chemical in the food. If you were to drink water that was infused with the juice of an orange and you were allergic to oranges, then you would probably react to the "water." But water by itself should not trigger and symptoms of intolerance or allergy.

It is impossible to be allergic to water, but some people have a skin condition that causes allergy-like responses (mainly severe itching) when their skin is put in contact with water.

They can still drink water fine, it is just when their skin is in (prolonged) contact with water that they start to get symptoms.
