I have two answers: the reason that I've worked out that I think I personally do it, and the most likely psychological reason (in my opinion).
I do it for the same reason that people who like art are not happy looking at just one painting. Variety is far more interesting. In fact, the comparison is pretty direct considering that, to guys, the bodies of women ARE art.
I also think, and here's my psychological reason, that men are wired to look at other women. Consider it from a completely primal standpoint. One man can impregnate many women. Once a woman gets pregnant, she's going to be busy with that for 9 months. So a man going around and doing his thing with 20 women in a day would be ideal from a survival and evolutionary standpoint.
Does this mean that cheating should be acceptable? Of course not. When you walk into a restaurant, and someone else's food smells good, do you swipe it? Do you even really have an urge to touch it, or eat it? No, but look at it? Yeah, you're going to look.
Again on a primal level, women have the responsibility of picking the RIGHT mate because they are stuck with their decision for some time, so putting sex on the same level as deciding on a meal would sound preposterous but, for um-thug caveman, there really isn't that much of a difference.
As men have evolved and become more interested in creating a "home", we have progressed socially. Or the other way around.

Women's bodies are complex and mysterious, suggestive of the miracle of childbirth, aesthetically soft, warm and delicious; men's bodies by comparison are utilitarian like a jeep.
Men's minds are hardwired by our very DNA to drool over women's bodies(if we are driving and see too much cleavage on a woman standing on the curb we drive right into a wall.)
Women's minds are more dominated by inklings of his being a good provider, his status as a meat bearer and his sense of humor, much softer wirings.
