For the girls... Is anyone going to buy leggings now that they are back in style?

Not for me. lol But my 11 year old loves them. They wouldn't look so cute on me. :-)
I think they look great on the teenagers. I, however, have developed hips... I don't think leggings and hips are a good match!
Leggings may be viewed as a fad that teenagers will follow. However, leggings have a good point; they keep your legs warm in cold weather. They can be color coordinated with the clothes you are wearing and create a nice total "new" look. Others will look at leggings and see them as an inconvenience because they believe they are hard to keep up in place. Other people may also be seen as old fashioned idea trying to be reborn. No matter the view, young girls to teenage girls will continue to follow a fad that will keep them part of the "in" crowd.
Yep, I was sort of figuring this was a "young" thing. I'm over 40, so unless I want them for warmth, I think I'm gonna pass... :)
Leggings are practical and fashionable, so I definitely buy them for the winter (for myself and for my young nieces).
Yes...I love leggings. I think they are the best thing ever. They are a great alternative for jeans. I am an 80's baby so I can appreciate a colorful pair of leggings to compliment a nice sweater or sweater dress.
I was never a fan. I don't think I'm feeling the legging thing.
:)
I never bought leggins and probably never will. I don't know, I just don't like it.
Got some last year - they were here then but maybe because it is COLD COLORADO?
PS With a tunic length sweater for sure....
No. I am a guy, and therefore that would look silly, unless I was going to play Robin Hood or something.
That being said, leggings on women are hot, and it doesn't really matter the age, in my opinion.

I personally think leggings are fabulous. They scream youth, health and vigor and just plain smart wear in the winter. However, leggins should probably never "grace" the body of an older woman who would immediately be touted as inappropriately dressed, should never be worn by a woman on the heavier side, and should also be avoided by a woman who is trying to act younger than she is. But lets face it - leggings on a youthful, trim figure is smartwear. These young ladies look stunning when paired with fashionable shoes and attractive top garment. In my opinion, leggings could also be worn by anyone under jeans or slacks for warmth. Nothing dictates having to wear them openly and with short butt-high shirts. As is always the case, each woman should wear appropriate clothing for her body type and age. But if a little extra warmth in winter is desired, I say go for it.
yes, i see them everywhere on people of all ages. Leggings are very comfortable. I bought two outfits about 10 years ago and i am still holding on to them because they are so comfortable.
Leggings are a wonderful option for every woman. Worn accompanied with the right clothes and accessories, they can compliment many different ages and body shapes. A teenage girl can wear bright-colored leggings with a funky, asymetrical top and a wide belt. She might complete her outfit with converse sneakers or the trendy ballerina slippers that are all the craze for girls in that age bracket. A woman in her twenty's can wear dark leggings with a grommet-laced black top and pair her outfit with calf-length combat boots for a rock-n-roll style. Ladies like myself, who are over thirty and have a bit more "junk in the trunk", if you will, can use leggings to help them accentuate their positive attributes and detract from those less attractive features. I have been known to wear a V-necked, flowy blouse with large, clunky jewelry that draws attention to my cleavage and face, while wearing black leggings that slim down my thighs. I wear knee-high boots, pulling the entire outfit together, and I have received many compliments on my look. Overall, leggings are a simple solution for all types of women, and should not be overlooked!
LOL, I swore I wouldn't. Been there, done that. But then someone gave me a lovely top as a present. One of the dress-length, fitted type. The only thing that really went with it was black leggings, so I bit the bullet and the whole ensemble looked fabulous.
I think things have moved on since I wore leggings - the advent of lycra means that they don't go all baggy round the bum and knees and some of them are very pretty with lace inserts.
I think I could wear them if the top was dress-length. I did see a woman today in the department store who was quite large in the bottom (or bum as you say) and she had on a pair of purple leggings with a regular top which ended at her waist... it was not flattering... :)
Yes. Leggings are cool. Following fashion isnt everything though
NO
I bought two pairs of new leggings simply because they match well with some of the tops I have and I have the right kind of figure for leggings. I didn't even know they are trendy now, ha ha!
no, i don't like it, i don't think it is fashionable.
Leggings look great if they are black and paired with a long sweater
