It's the direction they desire to go in, in an attempt to convince themselves that they aren't as large as they think.

because they don't want to buy the larger size that might fit them better

I think that they wear clothes like that, because they are proud of what they have, even if it is small.

I as a bigger woman, wear sorta tight shirts, and jeans. It is something that makes me feel good about myself.

The world thinks that only small skinny women can wear the stuff like that and it makes us other ones feel left out, so I applaud the bigger women that are proud enough to wear it.

I have never figure it. some of them look bad, they may not have money to buy the proper size.

It's a confidence booster for women if they can squeeze into 2 dress sizes lower.

Because they don't want to spend money on bigger clothes when the plan is to lose weight and fit the clothes they already have.

Probably because we are so thrilled to be losing weight and being able to get into our "skinny" pants again that we jump the gun on going down to that size....I am currently wearing some of my medium skinny pants but they are even getting a bit loose - yahoo! But there was a time when I could get into the next size down and would even if I had to lie down on the floor to zip them... not a good way to try to breathe. Also, regarding tops - when you are between sizes nothing is more obnoxious than having buttons straining so it is natural to opt for a pull over knit top. I layer and avoid ensuing problems but you get the picture? Marijo

I get the picture, Marijo, but now I wish I hadn't because it won't go away... :)

Maybe their weight fluctuates like most ladies during the month and the clothes fit perfectly some of the time and a bit tight the rest of the time.

Because nobody told them and they believe their thinner !

But hey, what's the problem if they're happy like that ! Maybe they just don't want to look like ballons by wearing loose clothes. Must be hard to stay feminine so I support those women !

Because they have convinced themselves that they look great. The truth is, if they would look directly into the mirror, instead of avoiding it, they would realize that squeezing yourself into a size 10, when you weigh in at a hefty 250, is not cute.

Mainly because they are stuck remembering the dress size they used to be and would like to be

Don't know!

I think they wear too tight clothes to "think themselves" into being thinner than they are.

Unfortunately, wearing too tight clothes makes you look even BIGGER! It accentuates all those nasty too fatty places on your body and makes a person look ridiculous!~
