Longer questions. Done- now 150 characters. Do we need more?

Would email notifications of new answers sent to the person who asked the question be a good thing? Would email notifications of new answers sent to others who answered the question be a good thing? Or would this be annoying?

I've just added email notification for the person asking the question. We'll see how this works and then decide if we should also notify people who have also answered questions.

I don't really know how to improve this function. It already is a fun interactive thing to do while visiting the site. Maybe on the emails, if there is a shut off switch in case of a change of mind.

That 20 second edit feature. I almost always make typos. My fingers are slower than my brainwaves...and sometimes, vice-versa.

I would add a link on the left hand menu (Interesting Stuff) so more people come to the page.

Done. (If you meant right hand menu, anyway.)

Yes.

Some kind of rating system (even if it is only Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down) or "Hot Questions" menu (with the questions with the most answers over the last 24 hours or whatever, like the Hot Comments)

Like Youtube. I'm sure someone will post something dodgy sometime and the thumbs down should stop this.

Great idea.

Now we can comment directly on answers...

Your answer is correct :)

You can't go to a page and see all the questions. That may be an idea

» Comment from Bruce Horst Comment made 2 years 286 days ago.
Actually, if you go to the bread crumbs at the top and click 'Questions', you will go to that page. I didn't do a good job of making that obvious, did I? ( http://SearchWarp.com/Questions.htm )

There already are too many questions to list on a page so the next logical step is to have categories for questions. That's part of what I'm working on now.

» Comment from Bruce Horst Comment made 2 years 286 days ago.
Ok, I've added categories, and listed them to the left of the page on....

» Answer from Ben Morrish Answer given 2 years 284 days ago.
The All Questions category only seems to bring up the Recent Questions. Would it be possible to bring up a list of all the questions you've asked via the control panel somehow? My Questions or something like that

Coming Soon to a Control Panel Near You!

Excellent, looks really good! Thanks Bruce!

I'd like to see it changed so that closed questions say "x answers, closed" instead of "x answers so far"

» Answer from Ben Morrish Answer given 2 years 280 days ago.
I'd like to see a keyword search function specifically for questions, so we can check that a question we are thinking about asking hasn't already been asked, and also can find questions about a particular keyword easily.

I think some kind of search will become more and more useful as the number of questions rises!

» Answer from Ben Morrish Answer given 2 years 278 days ago.
If you click the Ask button without writing anything in the text box (which I just did by accident) you get an error:

An unexpected error has occurred!

This may be due to resource unavailability or a technical glitch.

Is there any way to stop us getting an email notification when we post a response to an answer on one of our own questions?

» Comment from Bruce Horst Comment made 2 years 275 days ago.
Yeah, I had that in my "mental list" but I guess I forgot... I'll make that change today.
