What's the 2nd hottest pepper?

The first hottest is the Shelly Brzak. the second hottest is the habanero.

Before I knew about habaneros, I bought some and cooked with them. Talk about hot. Also, I learned the hard way to prepare them with gloved hands ... and not to touch anything else while working with them. I was chopping away and all of a sudden my left thumb started to burn like crazy so I stuck it in my mouth. !!!! :) :) Personally, I think any pepper that someone decides to assign a Schofield number to should be considered toxic. :) I think that's what it's called. I could remember that incorrectly. I do like hot spices, really, but in moderation. :)

I just looked it up. It's Scoville.
