How can I remove myself from a writer's fan club?

Over time I have learned there are writers that not only do I not agree with, but who I don't even like as human beings. When their names show up in my morning email notifications, I feel a revulsion, as if Hitler himself is sending me daily newsletters from Hell. Unfortunately, not all names appear in my "I am a fan of" list in the Control Panel, so I have no direct control over removing myself from the fan club of everyone.

If the names aren't showing up on the "I am a fan of" listing off the control panel, it sounds as if the adjustment may have to come directly from the webmaster.

Are you perhaps 'exaggerating' a wee bit in the statement "I feel a revulsion, as if Hitler himself is sending me daily newsletters from Hell." [funny statement, by the way].

Surely these same writers must have some redeeming qualities, otherwise you wouldn't have signed up as a fan, way back when - right?

Could it be you're just not being a good reader?

Seriously though, do you think it's necessary to "agree" with what a writer says in order for that person to be a good writer?

Have a good one, and good luck with your problem :)

You haven't definitively answered my question, but I shall answer yours: I am a good reader and I am not exaggerating.

Sorry to have to use your own words against you, but if you were a good reader, you would have noted that I qualified my statement that, "there are writers that not only do I not agree with, but who I don't even like as human beings." This is different from saying only, "These are writers I do not agree with." In fact, it is often the case that people I am fans of, and who I love dearly, and even like, will write something I disagree with on principle. This does not make them repulsive human beings. ;)

Good luck,

G.

I never claimed to be a good reader, and that was my attempt at humor. Did you not notice the words "Seriously though", under the question?

Did you wake up on the wrong side of the world today or are you just difficult to get along with on a regular basis?

You neglected to answer my question so I'll ask again - Do you think it's necessary to "agree" with what a writer says in order for that person to be a good writer?

Not attempting to start WWIII G, simply curious.

If you can, Patricia, please stay on topic. If you don't care for this question, or the way I asked it, you may ask your own. As to which side of the bed I woke up on, I'm sorry I am not more like you, always so cheerful and nice! ;)

Thank you,

G.

Hmmmm..... I must have liked the question otherwise I probably wouldn't have wasted my time commenting.... or perhaps I just like annoying you.

I'm sorry you're not more like me too.

Lookie, lookie, lookie - it appears you need to go back to Reading 101 also. I did not mention the word "bed"... I asked if you woke up on the wrong side of the world.

See you in school!

OOPS!

Greg,

I'm really sorry - when I first answered this, I answered it based on what was written in the e-mail notification which didn't include everything you wrote in your comment.

Duh...

Back to Reading 101 for me!

Have a good one!

You're obviously suffering from attention deficit disorder.

Yeah, I guess I never added the 'leave' option into the HTML5 design. I just added it in, and tested it on your account. Now if you want to leave someone's fan club, just go to one of their articles and where it says that you are a fan of theirs, click 'leave'.

Thanks. I want to be a fan of only enough people that I can afford postage for in case I need to mail them all a last will and testament.

"Phew" After Bruce gave you the all clear to remove the offender/s I went straight over to my fan club list, only to find you were still there. YIPPEE

Stay safe

I'm surprised you should have to ask Kacy! Although, I did trim my list, mostly of people who I simply haven't heard from in a year or longer.

Don't "leave" me if there's a last resort but if you do, there's nothing I can do.

Hilda and Kacy and Bruce are safe (for the moment!) ;)

USE an Email management App. Introduce it the Phrases that you don't want to see any more as Spam. I wont be as angry as you are in this cases so i don't use such apps :)

Sorry, but you don't understand the question. I get one email from WryteStuff. In that email is a list of articles from people I am a fan of. I want to not be a fan of them anymore so I don't want to see their names in that list. No email app in the world will fix that.
