The moment the doctor looked at me and told me she thought my seven-year old daughter had cancer. It is a moment I'll never forget.

At the time, I thought that the moment my dad died right before my eyes was my worst experience ever. I was four days shy of 17 years old and I thought my world had ended. But I lived through it. As I have all the other "worst" experiences I've had. If my husband should die before I do, I will probably (at that time) think that IT is the worst experience I've ever had. Thing is, it might not be the last. As long as I am alive, I will have experiences and some of them are going to be bad. That's just the way it is.
