Have you ever had an "experience of high strangeness"?

Once, in my living room while I was watching television, my large potted palm plant, weighing as much as a man, suddenly exploded, as though someone had jumped into and through it; before my startled eyes, the monster plant and its pot, moved a full foot across the floor!

This was proof, to me, that there might be an unseen world all around us that could perform physical stunts!

When I was still living at home, my sister and I were sitting watching TV one evening when a big blue ball of light came sailing into the family room right through the sliding glass door to the patio. It flew around the room a few times and went out through a wall. We sat stunned for a few minutes. I could see by the look on my sister's face that she had seen it too. But she still had to ask me if I'd just seen that. Does that qualify as "high strangeness?" Because I don't think it's nearly as good as yours. Poor palm!

Ball lightning is accompanied by a hissing and popping noise; if it wasn't ball lightning, it may well have been an alien sensor probe; if I recall you stated a long while ago that it was more than possible that these creatures have indeed often been in your lives.

Certain spirit consciousness exhibits similar shapes and movements, as well.

There was no hissing or popping. It was totally silent. I think that is one reason why later we both doubted what happened. But we both know that it did. It's just that it's hard to "rationalize" something so weird.

I think this is just a orb which is basically just a ball of energy and nothing to worry about.

» Comment from Dianne Lehmann Comment made 235 days 6 hours ago.
Paul might have something different to say about that. I've seen photographs of orbs (some taken by me, some by my sister and some by other relatives). They were not this big or this bright and were not visible with the naked eye.

I may not be correct; the theory is that it is not gravity but electro- magnetic energy (consciousness) that holds the universe together. Because consciousness is rising, all the solar system is waking up resulting in the increased frequency of these Balls; some arise from man's activity, some are made by Earth, some are from the solar system, some from beyond that.

I'd never thought about it that way, Carol. That's something to think about. Thanks!

"increased frequency of these Balls arise from man's activity", is a sentence that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole........

Took you long enough. :) :)

I also hear that from women.........

I lead a dull life because I see nothing unusual. The only strange thing in my life is moi.

The darn thing is that I've seldom even seen a shooting star even though I've looked for them.

You have no idea how truly fortunate you are to lead such a "dull' existence; the Chinese have a curse:"May you live in exciting times."

» Comment from The Old Gray Mare Comment made 238 days 22 hours ago.
Actually Paul, I know I'm fortunate. I would not wish such occurrences on anyone except maybe my ex and my boss from Travelers.

» Comment from Paul Schroeder Comment made 238 days 20 hours ago.
And yet, ironically and only in retrospect, would I slowly admit that WITHOUT all of these crazy experiences of high strangeness, I would not have metamorphosized, but would have clung to my cynical debunking of others, crass materialism, stalwartly defended atheism, a dark nihilism and selfish disregard for mankind.

I kind of like it when people speak directly and of their mind. We are shaped, however, by occurrences in our lives and you have mellowed, as have I. These days, I'm so busy. I mostly say what I mean to say, don't say what I think best not to or that would hurt feelings. I enjoy Paul Schroeder of today. I'm not sure you ever had "selfish disregard for mankind." That's just plain overcritical of yourself. I have learned a lot from you, am amazed that such experiences and happenings and strangenesses do exist, and respect you for getting through it all. I am also eternally thankful that I have never been plagued thusly.

You're probably tougher than I am; I had done plenty of quailing before I ever remotely felt brave.

Writing has made all the difference, allowing me to both distance myself and to embrace these experiences as well as attempt to assist others similarly troubled.

» Comment from The Old Gray Mare Comment made 221 days ago.
I like that - "quailing" - have to remember.

Wanted to mention to you that I think the History channel has been doing some interesting Ancient Alien / UFO programs. The programs asked pertinent questions about why we'd ever think we were the only "smart" creatures - raised questions about the moon and why it sounded like a bell when struck, etc. Spellbinding actually.

Spellbinding is the word.

Who would ever guess that we are someone's prized 'herd', being kept on a preserve, we call, "Earth"?

Most of our 'herd' believes and assumes that we are on this planet, because it has been ordained for us.

The truth is down a long hall, and somewhere else.

Each one of us have felt

1. Deja Vu : My mom had felt that I will meet up with an accident and a few days later it comes true, this was 14 years ago and twice she has felt in similar way and each time one in our family was hurt in similar fashion as Mom had felt.

2. Free Fall: This has happened to me many times, in my dreams i am in a free fall and it doesn't end at all and suddenly i wake up.

» Comment from Paul Schroeder Comment made 237 days 4 hours ago.
The first example is psychic prediction, and mom seems to be smarter than any average bear.

The second, is common to most of us at morning when our spirit literally slams back into our bodies after a night of astral wanderings....

» Answer from Carol Fernandez Answer given 236 days 1 hour ago.
Yes, I am high strangeness. An observer may perceive this facet to be on the increase. Yet to me, it is decreasing rapidly as strange becomes normal and normal becomes increasingly odd e.g eating food when you can sun gaze, believing in death when you can converse with the dear 'departed' and so on. It was probably an indignant plant spirit or maybe a dryad that moved the pot using energy; someone got one accidentally in their car boot and it caused a certain amount of havoc; of course, you have to be able to perceive them.

» Comment from Paul Schroeder Comment made 236 days ago.
You may well be right, but I associate all of my poltergeist house phenomena, like that plant one, to be slim, unseen greys who frequent and study abductees before and after close UFO craft sightings and abductions.

» Answer from elle kynzer Answer given 236 days ago.
Once, while house sitting for a US Navy Commander in New Orleans on vacation, it was while I was on active duty, there were three strange floating objects that moved around the room. Needless to say it scared me to death. That was my last time house sitting in strange houses.

Orbs?

» Answer from Shelley Brzak Answer given 233 days 4 hours ago.
It's a sign of something to come collective energy or plant plasma. Who knows really but perhaps it spontaneously combusted we hear this happens to people, a chemical imbalance. I'm certainly no expert! and yes strange things have happened to me. Once I was living in a 110 year old home there was a thunder storm happening...lightning...rain and I was whatching TV well all of a sudden the tv shut off!!! but all the lights remained on. I knew it couldn't be me who shut it off. The remote to the tv was still on the coffee table about 2ft. away from me. I waited frozen with fear about a few minutes later it came back on beleive it .....or not!

I believe that something in that house was as aware of you as you were of it.
