That stinks! I got the chicken pox twice as a child, but I never got it on my birthday.

My worst birthday was when I was 9. The youngest child, I always had to wait for everyone to come home from work which often meant 7.00 then I was allowed to open my present and blow out my candles. This time, I'd been so anxious to get to my cake in the next room, that I got into trouble and my family sang happy birthday while I stood in the doorway, not allowed to enter. My brother got to blow out my candles and then I was sent to bed without a piece of cake. A slice was put in the fridge for me to have the following day, but one of my brothers got to it first, so I didn't even got up close to it let alone a taste of it. That was cruel.
My best birthday was my 21st. It wasn't anything special but my new husband arranged a surprise party for me at my sister's house and I never guessed until it happened. That was nice.
A belated happy birthday to you Melissa. I hope it was a great one, as they all are really because every year we get older, it is another year we get to be alive to discover new things.
Awwwwww, Hannah, that was a cruel birthday celebration. Even though I hesitate to even call it that. :( I'm glad that your 21st was so special though. Thank you for the well wishes, and you couldn't be more right about what a blessing every new year is. Thanks for stopping by!

(it's NOT your birthday, as you would be trailing a length of umbilical, if it were...)
