Kindle or Nook?

I am one who likes the smell of books, the feel of the cover and watching my bookmark make its way to the last page. Have you made the jump to ebooks? I know it is easier when traveling, but I also like to look at my bookcase and see the spines, read the review/synopsis for each. I believe the ebooks have that feature. Do you miss bound books? I know an electronic device is easier to hold. What about iPods and iPads? Can you get the same books on them? Thanks for your input!

I will never switch to a ebook. I love the feel of a good book in my hands, the smell of an old leather bound book. Some books are out of print. Some are first editions and are different than an e-book, with the introduction from the author being changed and words being different. Sometimes I like to write in my books. I guess you can do that in an e-book, but once I found a copy of the "Living Hymns" printed in 1890 in the basement of our 100 year old house. Such a historical book reminds me of days gone by that you can't translate in an e-book.
