The current shuttle program is ending. New tasks are being considered for those who worked in the Space Program. Do you have an opinion on the Space Program?

I do believe is space exploration however I believe we should take care of our own planet before we venture into outer space. Our mother earth needs to be given first priority.

The space program used to excite people because it was a race against Russia into space, the great unknown. Now it is a drudgery and a great expense. Nobody knows anything about what NASA is doing because we are never told about it until the some reporter says "Oh by the way we launched the shuttle today and now back to the real news."

If we want to do something with the space program, we should expand it beyond an occasional visit to service the telescope and space stations. We have the technology to start mining and buiding on planets. Lets make use of resources beyond Earth. Heck why not try something new?
