I still fall back to the Lord of the Rings trilogy by JRR Tolkien when I don't want to try something new.

I just started the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, they came highly recommended and I am enjoying them.

I also enjoy books by Sarah Addison Allen and Donald Miller

I love to read and hardly know where to begin...

I liked all the sequels from Dan Brown. Even though Danielle Steel was read mostly by women, I liked the book "Daddy". I enjoyed reading Sydney Sheldon. Apart from that I have enjoyed spiritual authors - Paramahansa Yogananda (Autobiography of a Yogi), Justin O'Brien (Walking with the Himalayan Master), Swami Rama (Living with the Himalayan Masters), Paul Brunton's Search for secret India, Christopher Isherwood's Ramakrishna and his disciples etc.
