The US House Of Representatives banned funding for Planned Parenthood, which supplies medical/health care to men and women along with sexual education.

They also provided the public with birth control and contraception.

I think they should all give up any type of public funding for their healthcare until they have covered every last citizen in the country, period. Bums!

That vote was taken the end of February 2011 and would eliminate $330 million through the end of September 2011 – that’s a lot of medical services cut. Republicans don’t want any type of family planning, or birth control paid with federal taxes, but that’s just plain asking for trouble.

Individuals wanting to have consensual sex could go to Planned Parenthood and obtain contraception. Kids aren’t going to give up having sex – instead we’re going to have more children come into this world that aren’t wanted and then what happens to them? Republicans have already cut various programs that provide services to the poor, and to women and children.

So, you’re going to have more women and children out there with no health insurance, no means of support and no welfare benefits available to them or their child.

What happens when a women gets pregnant with a child she does not want? She has three options, she can have an abortion, she can give birth, or she can give the child away. I’ve already covered a couple of the problems you run into if she gives birth, so that leaves abortion and/or giving the child away for adoption.

There were two studies completed in New York or New Jersey several years ago on what happens to children that are given up for adoption and aren’t adopted. Sooner or later they end up in foster care and the reports gave astonishing facts on the number of children that were abused, mentally, physically and/or sexually while in foster homes. I believe the number that died was something like 11.

Not only that you have to take into consideration the emotional toll giving the child away has on the mother for the rest of her life.

If Republicans want to take funds away from Planned Parenthood, that’s fine, but they should then be willing to personally support all the babies that are born in this country to parents who do not want them – and I don’t mean financially. I mean they should be there to change their diapers, feed them, take them to the doctor, take them to school and do whatever else it takes to raise a child.
