When do Google Hot Search topics get traffic?

I thought that if I wrote about topics at the top of the list my article would get traffic but it doesn't always. Has anybody figured out why?

It's the ever fluctuating, inconsistency of the public mind Jenn....it's like music- just when musicians and singers think they know what John Q public wants- Boom! They switch on them- it moves quicker than the mental eye can see......almost impossible to pin down- when someone does- Ta-da..they've grabbed the brass ring- they've got a hit.....

Good question, Jenn. I haven't studied it in depth, but I have seen that there are certain periods of time where articles on SearchWarp get picked up by Google nearly instantly, and periods of time that it takes a few hours for articles on SearchWarp to get picked up. This often runs in 1 to 3 hour cycles.

If an article hits right, it could start getting Google traffic within minutes. Otherwise, it could take a few hours, which might be too late for a hot topic.

I'm sure this is only one piece of the puzzle, though.

Gregory seems to be able to hit hot topics before they become hot. I don't know how he does it, maybe he'll chime in.
