Do you know what a "lai-see" is?

Probably I am the only person who can handle this question Nenita.

A "lai-see" ( Cantonese ) is a red packet contained money given to unmarried ones by parents or any elderly during the Chinese New Year as a token for well wishes (good health, prosperity, good luck blah blah blah )

If a person who is 50 but not ever married, he or she is still entitled to receive a "lai-see" provided they don't feel "shy" so to speak. (Grin)
