HELP. I need help with Microsoft Office 2003 Publisher, please?

I would like to send my publication (a newsletter) in an e-mail. After opening the publication, I pointed to Send E-mail in the File drop down. The manual says I should get an option titled "Send This Page as Message," but my only option is "Send File as an Attachment." I've tried that and the whole file, including the program, arrives. How can I send the file as a publication without the program going along? Is there some other way?
Please keep in mind that I'm not really very computer savvy and keep your answer as simple as possible. I know I'm asking a lot. Thanks so much for any help you can give me.
