A little more about the wild turkey: The Snood is a flap of skin that hangs down from the beak. The beard on the turkey's chest is a bundle of thin long feathers. Generally the beard is found on the male but occasionally a female will have a beard as well. The turkey's wattle is bumpy skin on the turkey's neck. The male turkey also has spurs on each leg. These spurs can grow over and inch in length and the turkey uses them to fight.
