Have you ever seen 'good' evidence of a Ghost or Demon ? True materialization in front of yourself, or somewhere in the room, full body apparition, movement of objects that could NOT move on there own, etc... NOT cold spots, or supposedly evp recordings.... But TRUE evidence that is ParaNormal (above) that which is normal ?
Answers to this question:It is difficult to trust one's senses in such circumstances. Being what I consider as a basically rational person, I have a tendency to discount such encounters. But I had two shortly after my dad died that has had me doubting the total naysayers for years.
I've examined those occurrences in my memory so many times and from so many perspectives that I have only one conclusion. They were real and I did indeed see the ghost of my dad.
In the first instance, I awoke early in the morning. After my dad died, it became my duty to get up and start the morning coffee going. Prior to his death, it had been his duty. When I awoke, I smelled the coffee already brewing. I thought that perhaps my mom had gotten up early and started it. I wanted to know what was up and so I walked a short way into the hallway leading to the kitchen before I saw my dad walking toward me. He was wearing his pajamas. He smiled at me. Didn't say a word and took the turn toward the master bedroom suite. When I reached the turn maybe two seconds after he did, the door was firmly shut and there was no sign of him. I went into the kitchen and started the morning coffee. Mom got up shortly after that and I told her what had happened.
In the second instance, I woke from a sound sleep in the middle of the night. My dad was standing at the foot of my bed. Again, he was smiling at me. He didn't say a word that time either. But somehow, I finally knew that everything was going to be okay.
For quite some time, I thought that the second apparition had been merely a dream. But for certain, I was awake for the first one.
I've no idea what it might really mean, but it was very important to me at the time. It has also caused me to maintain an open mind about occult occurrences and the claims of others in this regard.
I don't know that you could call this "good" evidence, but I do believe it really did happen.
These were"gifts" of a visitation; one cannot be at all frightened when one encounters the ghost of a loved one; he still is very close and often around you.
You must trust your senses; do not ever listen to anyone who would like more than anything to appear to be more rational to you than that self trust; you did indeed have a profound experience, one that testifies to your dad's love, to the existence of life after physical existence and to the truth in own's own reality beyond any naysayers who simply are ignorant and ill informed.

I have indeed sometimes seen thin, smoke like figures, looking like a vertical line of cigarette smoke, in a very shallow silouette, move, waft across a room.
I have also rarely been subject to unseen touches of a human hand on my back; I could feel the span of fingers.
Finally, I can feel the onset of a vague, free floating mild anxiety, whenever there is a trapped spirit, who "peers" within me; I have gleaned that anxiety is the soul's reaction to psychic intrusion.
Indeed, when an unclean, stronger, predatory, demonic spirit is around, who are sadly almost always clearly somewhat demented, I am prone to the most vivid, horrid dreams, the signature symptom of a negative thought entity.
For some reason, now, only in my later years, have I become extremely sensitive to such unwelcome energies/ entities presences and their accompanying symptoms; I was previously an absolute, total non-believer.

I wanna say you and myself seem to write about a lot of the same things, and may I also comment that your articles are some of the best and most interesting, of any I have ever seen on paranormal subjects.
The only evidence, I have had of a Ghost, was years back, around 1991 a close friend of mine died suddenly. Right after his death, I had an overwhelming feeling of his presence in the room where my wife and myself were at the time. I said out loud 'Ray.... If your here, show us a sign!', all at once the long heavy chain on the ceiling light, flew up into the air as if someone hit it with their hand, then when it fell back, it stopped suddenly, no swinging or moving at all.
Then the feeling of his presence left as soon as it had arrived....
Robert, sadly for me, that high interest is one I would gladly lose.
There is an unseen spirit world all around us all of the time; phantoms fill the air around us.
I would much rather be like Greg who is as psychic as a wooden block than to have my extreme sensitivities.
I do believe that people's negating attitudes about such omnipresent presences oddly protect them as the more one pays attention to the paranormal, the more attention the paranormal pays to you....
But, I thank you, nonetheless; I am by now the opposite of fascinated with such.
I have had experiences in the extreme.
A ghostly haunting can often be person specific; only one person in the household may be privy to manifestations while all others are totally oblivious of such.
I would never 'flirt' with open invitations to ghosts such by knowingly going into a well accepted haunted location, or ever play with EVPs or a ouija board to 'invite' any spirit; it's all that I can do to simply have a few hours of 'peace' without being aware of such earthbound spirits, each day.
Nighttimes are especially 'command tactics ' time, for them and I NEVER have a 'peaceful' night's sleep.
It is not a mixed blessing, at all......
A woman committed suicide next door last Saturday, and I always had a premonition that her spirit was still around. The woman was coming back to see her daughter especially. Whenever I would sense her spirit's presence, there would be an extreme energy of uneasiness, sadness, bitterness and a lot of tears. That would be the time even dogs would start howling. Since last night, it's been quieter.
Let's hope that she can go into her own light to 'cross over' and that her visits are willful ones from another dimension, rather than visits from a trapped soul stuck at that locale.
Such suicides are the makings of real ghost stories.
Whenever you sense her-you are an empath- pray FOR her; it moves her out of the darkness and towards the light and is seen as service to the Other Side; such prayer is appreciated by all concerned.......
Thank you. I have done the same by projecting thoughts towards her to go on to another dimension or even take another birth and lead a better life. I have just prayed for her peace.
Well hi there Robert, I must say that I was beginning to wonder if you were going to weigh in on your own question............decent of you to let us play with it for a while...............you're a nice guy.
I have experienced it with my cousin. This happened exactly one day after his father died. We were standing on the terrace and talking and suddenly he came and stood between the two of us and both of us acknowledged his presence. It wasn't a complete physical presence, but was more like spirit, am image that is transparent. We could see his face and some parts of his full length body.
It was a 'gift' visitation; never pay any mind to anyone who denies these objective reality's experiences, even though these experiences occur and exist in such a subtle and ineffable manner.

I could tell it was a person. He was wearing a black jacket and looked normal. I asked my boyfriend who was right next to me on the couch, who the guy was. He said he didn't know him. I went to the kitchen and he wasn't there. So, I asked the girl who it was. She said "Oh, that's my dad. Did he come down here? He was in my room at the end of my bed he must've left."
Her dad died years ago. I didn't say anything else to her after that. I was shocked.
Also, Me, my boyfriend, my mom and aunt have our own little "group" lol we go to haunted houses, cemetaries, etc. and take pics. We've captured some AMAZING things on camera. I have the pics online on my blog & all of them are posted on my facebook if you'd like to see them? Im not sure if it's ok for me to post a link though ?
You're a braver soul than I; cemeteries are frequently a place that demonics occupy.
Aren't you afraid of what might follow you home?
I always tell skeptics and their more unhealthy associates, cynics, that they should keep their mind open; to keep their closed mind doors ajar, just a little, so that it's not ripped off of the hinges..............
