Moments to hours before a seizure. Right here in Connecticut, some associations with assistance dogs tested this and found that the dogs varied in alert times. And a dog had to be watched carefully in order to detect the subtle warnings of the dog. The times could vary greatly from 15 minutes or close to an attack to almost half a day - specifically 12 hours.
