Does anyone know what to do with Black Pines (Austrian) to help browning of the needles (excessive)?

We had a colder than usual winter here at 8600 feet. My black pines did terribly. Some have been planted for 2-3 years and they have never been this brown. I am watering but what else would help?

Prune dead dying or diseased co-dominant leaders or interfering limbs. Sample soil for nutrient levels and PH. Correct root collar problems. Preventative treatment from turpentine beetles from stress trees. You might have a needle cast fungal disease on the trees that caused the needles to turn a brown color.

Be patient Marijo. After this cold season they will turn back automatically the color you like (black or green) How much water do you have to waste if it doesn't work ?
