Should women be allowed to be president?

Why not. If it is Sarah Palin then maybe not. You may think the is amazing for someone Brittish after Mrs Thatcher (the devil in heels).

But if the woman was the best for the job I would vote for her.

It all depends on what the woman candidate is like.

Women (speaking generally) should be allowed. Any specific woman wanting to be president should be judged on individual merit, like the other candidates.

My dad (who did his best to wear a chauvinist mask) used to say:

"If women ran the world there would be now war. Women don't want to see their sons or husbands die in the name of greed. And that's all war is."
