I received a call from a third party also however, I decided to research this Home-Based Program Opportunity. I worked from the State of CA for 28 years as a consultant in Education. Therefore, I am use to researching information. No, I will not pay a third party $69.00 when I can pay HUD $16.95 by money order not credit card. Yes, those people are scrammers. Do you have up-dated inquiries? JMP. CA.

I was recently laid off due to lack of work at a part time job I was doing since retiring in 2001. I couldn't survive on my Social Security and had to take a part time job. Now that I am again forced to live mainly on my Social Security allotment, I am seeking additional work again. I received a phone call advising me to pay the $69.00 to become a processor. I almost fell for the call but second thoughts persuaded me to look into this further. Now that I have researched it somewhat, I have been left with bad feelings pertaining this supposed oportunity. Isn't there anything legitiment out there anymore for people in my situation.

Be careful, there are a few Companies that scam this opportunity via phone calls or postcards and ask for your credit card #. Go to our site in the article.

Dear Conderned,

I whole-heartedly agree with you and am repeatedly disappointed by 'work from home' scams. I have been on disability since 2005 and have also been trying to find something I could do from home to supplement my social security income. I wish there was something legitimate. If I find one, I'll post it on every review site I can find!

The $69 fee phone call is a scam. The link mentioned in the article, however, is real. The job basically entails that you call people the government owes refunds to and convince them to let you process the refunds for them for a fee. This is legal as the Federal Government along with HUD/FHA originated this work from home opportunity program and decided to allow others as Third Party Processors to assist them in locating the refund recipients of unclaimed refunds. Call HUD/FHA (800) 697-6967 to verify.

I just received a phone call about government processing insurance refund from home . I was interested so I continue to listen and was told to send $69.00 for a kit. I immediately hung up and did my research only to find out that the $69.00 fee is a scam. Should I call the HUD/FHA 800 number? I am really looking for work but don't want to be scammed.

I have called the 800#, and the person on the other end of the phone said that they

never heard of American Refund Service. I also have ordered the booklet. In

the booklet it says that American Refund Service will answer question in writing.

How come no one at American Refund Service has answered any of my questions. So, there for I don't think that American Refund Service is just another SCAM. Be careful on who you send your money to. Don't be like me and get ripe off.

The card I got today was pink, same exact pitch with a different 866 number. BTW, the 866 number on my card is associated with a very bad collection agency according to other reports on the net.  This sounds like a tosser to me.

I received a pink card in the mail with the word Final Notice…. I was a little confused because I never received a first or second? It looked very inviting and thought I would give it a shot. I called the number this morning and they wanted a $3.91 for free package to give you a starting package.… I actually was getting excited and thought why not! Well, as I started putting my credit card into the system, my 23 year old daughter asked me what I am doing. I proceeded to tell her about the pink card I received, while I was in the processes… MOM! She said, you have always thought me to never give your credit card number out if you don’t know who you are giving it to. Wow, she made me realize what the hell, was I doing? I know nothing about this company…..

I decided to look up the *official form number and it brought me to this web site.

Honestly, I am still very confused to what this pink card is all about. After reading people talk about SCAM, it really breaks my heart that there are people out there trying to take advantage of people who are out of a job. Just trying to make money to survive and someone want to steal from them…

I am so glad that this site was here! I was about to go to the bank and take out the last $ 4.00 that I had to try and help pay bills in my house. I have been out of work for the past 2 years and wanted to help my husband the best way I could. I've been looking for work, but no success. I say once again thank you, because I was just about to be had. I really despise people who would have no remorse about taking advantage of the American people who are out of work trying so hard to keep their families a float! SHAME ON YOU, AND GOD SITS HIGH AND LOOK LOW! HE SEE YOU TRYING TO TAKE HIS PEOPLE FOR GRANTED!
