The SearchWarp Article Submission API
Thank you for your interest in the new SearchWarp Article Submission API. We are working hard to create a World-class article submission API to serve article distribution services, and their writers.
Here is a simple overview of how the SearchWarp API works:
After the article distribution service (ADS) is accepted into the SearchWarp API program, the ADS will be issued an API User ID. This user ID is required to be posted with all other information during writer account creation and article submission.
Initially the ADS will post writer information to create a writer account on SearchWarp. The account is created instantly. If the writer already has an account on SearchWarp, this step is not necessary.
After the SearchWarp account is created, the ADS may post articles to the API along with the email address and the password of the writer account. Articles will go live immediately and the URL of each article will be returned when an article is successfully posted to the API.
Instead of providing the raw specs for the API, we have created the forms necessary to post directly to the SearchWarp API.
New Member Account Creation:

New Article Submission:

The ADS may copy and modify these forms on their own web site, or they may be used directly to submit to the SearchWarp API from the SearchWarp web site. They both require an API User ID to function.
All use of SearchWarp services requires that the user accept and agree to the SearchWarp Terms of Service (TOS). Article distribution services must also make their clients aware that they are subject to the SearchWarp Terms of Service. While SearchWarp wants to accept as many articles as possible, there are limits on the quality and taste of articles which will will accept, as well as legal requirements. If you and/or your users can not agree to this, please do not submit articles the SearchWarp.
Other Information:
If the new member account creation or article submission is unsuccessful, an error code and error description will be returned by the API. Also, any message that SearchWarp has for the ADS may be returned.
The ADS can use the member log in information and regular SearchWarp control panel to fine-tune any membership information that can't be set through the API.
The writer bio / resource box which is submitted at the time of registering a new member will be displayed on all articles, so if the ADS wants to have a different resource box for different articles from the same writer, the ADS will need to not submit the bio / resource box during new account creation, and instead submit it at the end of each article.
SearchWarp prefers that if the bio / resource box is included at the end of the article that it be separated from the main content with a ‘<hr />’ and not a solid line of characters. This helps if final formatting of the article.
Please keep in mind that SearchWarp only allows one pen name per writer account and that the writer’s actual name be used for the first and last name on the account. If a pen name is supplied, the writer's actual name will not be displayed publicly.
When an article is submitted through the API it will go live immediately with a default score. It will eventually be reviewed to ensure for compliance. If the author chooses to participate in the SearchWarp community, the author will have the same options and opportunities as regular SearchWarp members.
The API also bypasses the writers' application process for new members. We are trusting the ADS’s to filter out the low-quality writers and articles. If we get too many low quality articles from an ADS, we will warn them and possibly disable their API account if necessary.
